This course will look at the requirements in KCSiE 2018 in relation to peer on peer abuse, risk assessments and management of risk and sexual harassment and sexual violence.
Training objectives
This aim is to:
Explore the different aspects of peer on peer abuse and harmful behaviours and the response to all children and young people involved and both short term and longer term safeguarding measures and support required.
Explore the challenges for schools and share good practice.
Discuss managing parental anxiety when incidents occur.
Learning outcomes
By the end of course, participants will be able to
Display knowledge of relevant updates in legislation and guidance affecting work with young people and sexual harassment and sexual violence.
Understand the roles, responsibilities and the importance of multiagency response to children and young people
Recall two risk indicators of sexual harassment and sexual violence.
